Letter from Mike – Ramjack Review Edition 5

Welcome 2022

By now we’ve all had plenty of time to reflect on 2021 and if you’re like most people, 2022 was greeted with open arms and blatant optimism. Most likely you’re filled with hope of what 2022 can bring. As we turn the page on last year, our team been faced with many opportunities to show our GRIT. We are more determined than ever to bring our GRIT to the table in all that we do, and help our customers celebrate the wins, face the current landscape, and embrace the challenges ahead.

In the global scramble for sustainability, our industry has been continuing to look beyond profitability to focus on our responsibility. That is, the responsibility we have to our planet, as stewards. This year we focus on ESG, and our role in environmental, social, and governance issues, to ensure that your operating best practices support ESG issues through the technologies and services we provide.

While mining has often gotten a bad wrap, we as miners know our work is critical to the sustainability of our planet by giving its 7.9 billion human inhabitants access to renewable energy infrastructures. We know, and experts agree, that the benefits of renewable energy far outweigh the costs. As the citizens of the globe seek alternative energy sources, so increases the demand for supporting technologies, the components of which are only obtainable through mining. As the need for hydropower, geothermal, wind, and solar increase, so it goes that copper, cobalt, lithium, iron, boron, neodymium, and many, many minerals, are needed. It’s never been more true to say if it isn’t grown, it has to be mined.  Employing the right technologies for the job is our way of ensuring that our customers mine in a smart and conscious way, for minimum impact and maximum sustainability.

Keep on keepin’ on.
